 Welcome Message
In recent decades, climate change has been one of the greatest threats facing mankind and the planet on which they live. Global warming as a result of increased greenhouse emissions has resulted not only in the rising sea level, shrinking glaciers, change in the animal and plant habitats but also recurring natural disasters which devastate millions of people around the world. How to cope with the severe impacts of climate change has now become urgent matters of global concern.

As an island exposed to the threat of natural disasters, Taiwan is keen to promote greater public awareness on the importance of the issue of climate change. The Cross Strait Interflow Prospect Foundation will be holding an international conference entitled "Symposium on Taiwan under Global Climate Change" on Saturday, 23rd October 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan.

We are looking forward to your active participation, sharing with us your invaluable expertise and experience. Let us make earth a better and greener place to live.
